The Sidecar Inn sits in the historic Boyds Creek community, about 10 miles from downtown Sevierville. Innkeeper Roger Moroney lives on site, cooks a scratch-made multi-course breakfast each morning, and knows the Smokies like family. Book straight through the inn, no middleman.
Every room carries a motor-racing story, antique furnishings and, deliberately, no TV. Individual heating and cooling, complimentary Wi-Fi and a refrigerator come standard.
Named in memory of Roger and Deb's son, who loved sports-cars, the mountains, and his friends. Up the beautiful staircase on the second floor, with Smoky Mountain views on clear days.
Named after the famous corner on the Circuit de la Sarthe, where the 24 Hours of Le Mans race runs each June. A mirror image of Kyle's Corner, on the west side of the second floor.
A two-room suite above the dining room, reached by its own winder staircase. Named after the legendary Corkscrew turns at Laguna Seca Raceway.
On the first floor next to the living room, with new double-glazed windows that let in the fresh air and keep the quiet in. Named after the world's oldest motorcycle rally, first run at Weirs Beach, New Hampshire, in 1916.
Your personal chef is Roger himself. Breakfasts draw on traditional Southern and Appalachian cooking, with the occasional global twist. Most baked goods are homemade, including sourdough breads, cookies and cinnamon rolls.
Roger Moroney is the innkeeper and he lives on site. He is a keen student of the inn's own history, the Thomas Brabson house of 1854, and he will happily talk your ear off about it, along with the area's attractions.
Sidecar culture: Roger rides a 1995 Harley-Davidson FLHR paired with a 1998 Liberty Classic sidecar. The racing names on the doors are no accident.
Family history: Kyle's Corner Bedroom is named in memory of Roger and Deb's son, who loved sports-cars, the mountains, and his friends.
Resident greeter: Kiera, a shepherd mix adopted from the Sevier Animal Care Center in February 2022, enthusiastically welcomes guests in the private quarters.
Roger acts as your local guide at breakfast, but here is a head start on the area around the inn.
